Exercise and Fitness

Physical fitness is a relative thing. A person with Alzheimer's disease will not likely be training for a marathon, but strength and flexibility will allow that person to live independently longer. Simple activities of daily living, like dressing and cleaning require a certain amount of physical ability. Exercise can also slow the progression of a cognitive disorder like Alzheimer's disease.
