Reminiscence therapy has been shown to significantly improve self-esteem and positively affect depression and life satisfaction.
Of all of our senses, smell might be the one that is most likely to elicit memories. This game provides a fun way to tap into the healing potential of reminiscence.

Some of our strongest memories, our most potent associations, are triggered by odor. Follow Your Nose is a Bingo-type game that uses scent identification to play.
The scents in Follow Your Nose are not strictly aroma-therapeutic, but playing the game is therapeutic. The scents will trigger memories, and will provide olfactory stimulation as well as cognitive stimulation. The reminiscences activated by playing Follow Your Nose make it a perfect game for people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Even people who are not functioning at a level to play by the game rules will react to the smells by talking about the memories associated with the scent, describinghis or her reaction to the different smells, or sometimes just smiling.
The game is played by matching the scent in each of the 30 flasks to an image on one of the game cards.
Game box contains:
- 5 unique game cards
- 30 small flasks each containing a specific fragrance
- Rules and recommendations for play
