Quick Overview

The Decade You Were Born is 4 hours and 8 minutes of fun. This series provides entertaining and therapeutic reminiscing. Each of the DVDs in this series contain news footage, a movie, a TV show, several commercials, and movie trailers from the decade in question. Each is full of fun trivia about the era, like, "in the 40s gasoline cost 15¢/gallon, and the minimum wage was 75¢/hour. In the 60s, gas had only risen to 25¢/gallon and the minimum wage to $1.60/hour

The pop culture, politics, and technology of the times are all explored in these films. We recommend that you select them, not necessarily for the decade that the person who is watching was born, but for the time period that he or she has formative memories from. This most often include the early teens to the late twenties, but is certainly not limited to these ages.

This was the decade where people built Bomb Shelters. If you were born in the early fifties you are a baby Boomer, the most influential and powerful group of Americans ever born.
